ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for information security management, setting out specifications for effective information security management systems for companies of all sizes. Following a best-practice approach, the standard helps organizations manage their information security by addressing people, processes, and technology. Adhering to the standards signifies that a company has established processes to oversee risks associated with the security of its data, ensuring it complies with the highest standards and guidelines.
Aligning information security practices with EU legislation
Applixure started the process of achieving the increasingly common certification 2023. The audit was finally completed earlier this year by SGS, adding Applixure to the list of certified organizations. At the beginning of the process, it was known that new EU-mandated requirements for a higher level of cybersecurity, the NIS2 directive, had already been established and would become fully enforced by October 2024. These two standards mirror each other and therefore ISO 27001 can be used to meet the requirements of NIS2. By achieving the ISO 27001 certification, Applixure ensures that the company’s information security practices will be up to the highest standards and continue aligning with all EU legislations.
